There are indications that Ministry of Social affairs and labor will start implementing the new labor law, which will phase out the sponsorship system, beginning from the summer this year, Arab Times reported.
A source informed the law through which the ministry wants to phase out the sponsorship system was ready when Bader Al Duwailah and Mohammed Al Afasi were ministers, daily added.
Many obstacles hindered the implementation of this law but the current minister is determined to implement it, daily reported.
